Madame Prime Minister Adult T-Shirt
Madame Prime Minister Adult T-Shirt
The time for Canada to have its second female prime minister, the first to be elected in a general election, is here. When Kim Campbell won the leadership of the then Progressive Conservative Party in 1993 and becoming Canada's 19th prime minister and first and still so far only woman to hold the role, I don't think that women at the time considered we would still be waiting in 2022 for the next woman to hold the role. But here we are - still waiting.
The time is now for political parties to consider their leadership with the benefit of the Confidence and Supply Agreement exists between Canada's federal Liberals and NDP is here and now. It's not simply about being polite about this anymore - it is time for the leadership of political parties before the next federal election.
This design is meant to create conversation - and obviously not without controversy. Kim Campbell was elected to what is now known as the "glass cliff" when women are elected to positions that at times of risk and uncertain outcomes. Kim Campbell wasn't given the opportunity to win an election as prime minister so it's time for the next woman to have her opportunity, or rather, opportunities.
